The infamous and glamourous Amber Divine was born Jonathan C. Connally in Atlanta, GA on October 26th, 1964, in the parking lot of Emory Hospital. Born the middles son of a very fashion forward mother and father, Amber began the transformation into the goddess she is today. While in college, Amber was afflicted and saddened by the devastating crisis of the AIDS epidemic. From then on she vowed to do her part in finding a solution; she started working at the club The Wooden Nickel to raise money for HIV/AIDS charities and research. From there she blossomed into an award winning diva. Her titles include: Miss Eight Day, 1983; Miss Phatt House, 1983; Miss Old Plantation, 1983; Miss Texas Mining Company, 1983 and Miss Texas NewComer, 1983. Growing tired of the pageant life, Amber set on her way of traveling around the world; doing many people and seeing many lands, only to come home and settle in Atlanta to join the Armorettes in 1991 and again in 2002. There she earned the titles 1st Runner Up Miss Empress Pageant, 1992; 1st Runner Up Homecoming, 1993; Ms. Barfly, 1995 and Ms. Dixie 1996. Amber has been involved in many talented and well sought after casts all around the city of Atlanta. These casts include The Kitty LeClaw Road Kill tour, The Bulldog Dames, and the Atlanta Dolls. Ms. Divine continues to perform and leave a lasting impression on the HIV/AIDS cause.
